Images from BAS workshop 2009: Hunting GONZO architecture!
Goodmorning, so you got in yesterday! Some did but not all of us. Hmm... did you get some views? Yes, we did. Let's have a look at them! What is that? What is what? That spot in your photo? Don't know... looks like some white cube or a... is it in the photo or just on the screen? No, it is real. So, we go there and find out what it is! There??? Well... we have to start somewhere... so why not there? You mean in the view? Yes, exactly. What do we expect to find though? Some pot of gold or a bunch of keys or possibly the biggest brick in Norway? We know that if we want things to change we have to find some new tools and some new materials to work with and that gonzo-brick might just be lying around in those spots we found in our images. Have lunch and take a chapati! They are really nice! After that we go for a walk. The weather is cold but sunny.
We are going. Finished eating? We walk into some selected views. It might be our lucky day. Do not worry if we don't actually find anything. Do not have to. Let's start with meeting the tree in the forest. Any idea where it exactly is? No, but how difficult can it be to find a tree? Is it high up? No, you can see it from Torget. And after that? Well, we kind of walk through the centre, passing Malabar and the Bombay Bazaar, towards the biggest public square in town. The road is good and leaving the room is healthy and Hunter S. Thompson used to say: Buy the ticket and take the ride or: when the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. Let's get going first. It is quite something that mankind can walk and talk at the same time.
NOTE: Yes fellow hunters we did not look too carefully into that last view on this page. I admit.... question of files which were hard to open at the time.... But I gave it a closer look now and (my oh my) what a goldmine: bricks everywhere!
